Dual network ports can be set to multiple address settings or network fault tolerance mode
[Network Fault Tolerance] Two network cards use the same IP, you can choose the main network card by yourself, and when the main network card has a problem, you can enable another network card.
[Multi-address setting] NVR with two network ports can be set to multi-address setting under the "Network Configuration-Basic Configuration-Network Mode" menu, so that the two network ports can be set to separate network segments. IP address.
General application scenarios: One network port is connected to the camera, and the other network port is connected to the router of the external network; or one network port is connected to the IP address of one network segment, and the other network port is connected to the camera of another network segment. Please choose according to your own situation as to whether you want to use it.
[Configuration Guide] How to add different network segment cameras to the recorder configuration guide
When monitoring network wiring, you often encounter situations where the intranet ip address is not enough and you need to add cameras of different network segments. In this case, when you buy a video recorder, you can choose a video recorder with dual network ports. The need to add cameras on different network segments can be realized.
Let's first take a look at the two network working modes of the dual network port video recorder
Network fault tolerance
Two network cards use the same IP address, select "main network card", you can choose LAN1 or LAN2 as the main network card, when the network of one network card fails, the system enables the backup network card to ensure that the system's network works normally.
Multi-location setting
The parameters of the two network cards are independent of each other, and the network cards work with each other. Select "Network Card Selection" to set LAN1 and LAN2 respectively. You can choose a network card as the default route. When the system actively connects to the external network, the data is forwarded by the default route.
Now that you understand the two network working modes of the dual-network port video recorder, you can see that when adding a camera that is not the same network segment as the video recorder, we use the multi-address setting network working mode. How to use it? ? Kangkang will teach you now~
We assume that the IP address of the router connected to the Lan1 port of the video recorder is 192.168.1.1, and the network segment of the camera we need to add can be the network segment 192.168.0.
Now enter the main menu of the recorder-system configuration-network configuration-basic configuration, change the working mode to multi-address setting, select LAN1 for the network card, and assign the IP address 192.168.1.100 and other network parameters to LAN1, because LAN1 is used at this time The connection is routed, so we choose LAN1 as the default route.

We connect the network cable connecting the camera to the LAN2 port of the recorder, select LAN2 as the network card, and assign the IP address 192.168.0.100 to LAN2. Other network parameters are shown in the figure.
At this time, the video recorder has two IP addresses. The LAN1 port is used to connect to the external network for external network access, and the LAN2 port is used to connect to the camera. We then add the camera in the channel management-IP channel management to connect to the external network. You can see the monitoring screen again~
