In environments such as border defense coastlines, forest and mountain conservation areas, aging industrial parks, and underground utility tunnels, the pervasive issues of insufficient light sources, airborne mist, and flickering light and shadow have long posed significant challenges for the implementation of low-light security projects. To address these difficulties, Kaimorui has integrated the KC9436M all-in-one zoom lens module with the CM2001M encoding adapter board, creating a comprehensive end-to-end noise-reduction solution—from image acquisition to signal transmission. Leveraging native hardware parameters and optimized supporting circuitry, this solution effectively tackles industry-specific pain points, including severe image graininess in low-light conditions, substantial interference during long-distance transmission, and poor compatibility with peripheral devices. It provides a one-stop solution that meets the stringent requirements for low-noise monitoring under all weather conditions, making it widely applicable to projects demanding high-quality imaging in low-light environments—such as border patrol and surveillance, cultural heritage security, suburban road networks, and industrial and mining facility zones.

I. Advantages of Large-Sensor Imaging: Powered by KC9436M hardware, it suppresses dark-light noise at the very source of image formation.

As the core imaging component of the entire solution, KC9436M is equipped with an 8-megapixel CMOS progressive-scan image sensor featuring a large 1/1.8-inch format. The larger photosensitive area effectively increases light intake in low-light conditions, significantly reducing inherent noise in dark environments at the hardware level. In actual testing, the device achieves a color sensitivity of 0.005 lux at F1.5 and a black-and-white sensitivity as low as 0.0005 lux. In extreme low-noise scenarios—such as enclosed warehouses without infrared illumination, dense mountain forests, and unlit underground corridors—KC9436M consistently delivers native 4K (3840×2160) high-definition video footage. The device is fitted with a 6.9mm to 249mm 36x optical continuous zoom lens, featuring an adaptive F1.5 large-aperture design. During zoom operations, the aperture automatically adjusts to compensate for changes in light intensity, eliminating the risk of insufficient light intake at telephoto ends that could otherwise lead to noise generation. Additionally, KC9436M incorporates a 120dB ultra-wide dynamic range and a 3D DNR three-layer noise reduction algorithm, enabling it to handle complex noisy environments such as direct exposure to car headlights, strong daylight contrasts between day and night, and reflections caused by rain, fog, and mist. This intelligent algorithm effectively filters out random noise, ensuring that bright areas remain properly exposed without overexposure and preserving rich details in dark areas. An ICR infrared filter with automatic day-and-night switching, paired with a gyroscope-based mechanical image stabilization system, ensures seamless transitions between day and night modes without any image interruptions or noise artifacts. With dimensions of 65×71×149mm and a net weight of just 420g, this compact unit is ideally suited for integration into various dome cameras and PTZ mounts. The device’s static power consumption is only 5W, significantly reducing circuit-generated electrical noise during low-power operation.

II. AI-powered intelligent detection: Algorithm optimization reduces noise in images and avoids triggering false alarms due to noise.

Relying on the clean image base after noise reduction provided by KC9436M, it features a built-in deep-learning intelligent algorithm. Now featuring highly reliable intelligent recognition, this solution thoroughly addresses the issue of false alarms caused by light and shadow noise in low-light conditions. The product’s facial capture function can store up to five facial images in a single capture, ensuring clear facial feature outlines with no noise or blurring even in dark environments. A dedicated road mode can be activated with a single tap, enabling precise differentiation between pedestrians and vehicles in challenging nighttime conditions such as flickering streetlights and backlit road surfaces, while effectively eliminating misclassifications triggered by leaves or shifting light and shadows. The system encompasses over ten intelligent security rules, including boundary crossing detection, unauthorized zone intrusion, loitering detection, detection of abandoned or stolen items, and audio anomaly detection. After 3D noise reduction filters out image artifacts, the accuracy of alerts in low-light areas—such as remote mining sites, riverside embankments, and border wilderness—significantly improves. Utilizing H.265 smart encoding, the bitrate range dynamically adjusts autonomously from 32Kbps to 16384Kbps. During the encoding and compression process, no additional secondary noise is introduced. This not only saves storage space and broadband resources but also ensures that image quality remains intact during long-distance transmission over network cables.

III. CM2001M Signal Link Optimization: HDMI-to-MIPI Adapter—Isolating the Transmission Path to Eliminate Additional Noise

The CM2001M encoding adapter board serves as a noise-reduction hub for front-end and back-end devices, specifically designed to work with the KC9436M image output. It addresses image quality degradation caused by signal loss and interference from line clutter when external devices are connected to the module. Its core function is HDMI-to-MIPI signal conversion, natively supporting high-definition input at 4K@30Hz. By optionally pairing it with the CM2002U tail board, the device can also provide backward compatibility for 1080P@60Hz output. Throughout the entire analog-to-digital signal conversion process, the board ensures lossless processing without introducing additional circuit noise, fully preserving the low-noise, native image quality delivered by the camera module. The board measures 50mm × 50mm and operates on a standard DC12V power supply. It features standard 45×45mm mounting holes, enabling compact integration with the KC9436M. The board is compatible with three major pan-tilt protocols—SONY VISCA, PELCO-P/D—and supports AUTO protocol auto-adaptation, making it easy to connect to various pan-tilt and PTZ control systems. This eliminates image jitter and noise caused by communication issues or command packet loss across different brands of equipment, thus establishing a low-noise transmission channel between the imaging terminal and the back-end storage system.

IV. Integrated Dual-Product Solutions: A Full-Chain Noise Reduction Closed Loop, Enabling Multi-Scenario Low-Light Security Projects

The KC9436M is precisely matched with the CM2001M in both software and hardware, forming a closed-loop system that combines front-end imaging noise reduction with mid-end transmission noise reduction, making it suitable for all types of low-noise security applications. In suburban monitoring scenarios on unlit rural roads, the camera module’s ultra-low-light performance paired with advanced noise-reduction algorithms enables clear capture of license plates and facial features. The encoding board performs lossless transcoding to seamlessly connect with traffic management platforms, ensuring noise-free and blur-free images even over long distances. In nighttime patrols of nature reserves, the camera’s black-and-white sensitivity of 0.0005 lux combined with lossless signal transmission allows for precise capture of wildlife and unauthorized intruders, while AI algorithms effectively filter out false alarms caused by swaying branches and shifting shadows. In enclosed, low-light environments such as museum collections and underground civil defense facilities, the entire device operates at ultra-low power consumption with no extraneous electrical noise, and its 8-zone privacy masking feature balances security and confidentiality. This dual-product solution is compatible with mainstream platforms including ONVIF, Hikvision SDK, and Ezviz Cloud, supports up to a 256G SD card for local storage, and maintains stable operation across a wide temperature range from -10℃ to 60℃. Whether deployed in frigid wilderness or humid, hot mining areas, it delivers reliable, low-noise imaging, making it the preferred solution for customized low-light surveillance projects.
