I. Sony Starlight sensor chip, delivering authentic 4K image quality with native hardware support.

As the core hardware for image acquisition in the entire solution, the CM8810E features a high-end imaging optical configuration that lays a solid foundation for 4K imaging. The device is equipped with a 1/2.8-inch Sony Starvis progressive-scan CMOS sensor, boasting an effective pixel count of 8.46 million. It delivers native hardware output of 3840×2160@30fps standard 4K video streams, ensuring sufficient pixel density to faithfully reproduce distant outlines, fine details at close range, human faces, and workpiece textures—completely eliminating the common issues of blurring and color discontinuities often encountered when using conventional HD equipment. The optical module is fitted with a 4.8–48mm focal length lens, providing 10x optical zoom with a switching speed as low as 3 seconds. Combined with 16x digital zoom, it enables seamless one-touch switching between wide-angle inspections over large areas and close-up detailed shots of small objects. The horizontal field of view is flexibly adjustable from 60.2° down to 6.6°, making it ideal for close-range shooting scenarios at distances ranging from 1 to 2 meters. With exceptional low-light performance at starlight levels, the device achieves 0.01 Lux in color mode and as low as 0.001 Lux in monochrome mode. Paired with an ICR infrared filter that automatically switches between day and night modes, it continues to deliver pristine 4K images even in pitch-dark nighttime conditions. The device incorporates four advanced image optimization algorithms: wide dynamic range, electronic defogging, strong light suppression, and backlight compensation.

II. Powered by advanced AI algorithms, it delivers 4K ultra-high definition with robust recognition and analysis capabilities.

Beyond mere high-definition imaging, the CM8810E comes equipped with a full suite of intelligent behavioral analysis algorithms, endowing 4K devices with autonomous perception capabilities. This model supports over ten intelligent alerting functions, including tripwire crossing detection, area intrusion detection, abandoned/moved object detection, persistent loitering and gathering of people, speeding detection, illegal parking detection, and boundary violation detection. It can accurately classify and identify three core targets: people, vehicles, and vessels. Leveraging the superior pixel resolution of 4K ultra-high definition, its recognition accuracy and capture sensitivity significantly outperform those of conventional 1080P and lower-resolution cameras, dramatically reducing the costs associated with manual real-time monitoring. The device is compatible with three mainstream encoding formats—H.265, H.264, and MJPEG. Notably, H.265 encoding achieves substantial compression of storage and bandwidth usage without compromising 4K image quality at all. Featuring a triple-stream separation design, it allows independent allocation of real-time preview stream, recording stream, and platform transmission stream, with bitrates ranging from 32 kbps to 16 Mbps. This ensures stable 4K video streaming even under varying network conditions, including weak networks, private networks, and local area networks. The device comes with multiple built-in fault alerts, including motion detection, lens obstruction, and storage space full warnings. It supports dual-day-and-night imaging modes and enables independent customization of algorithm parameters. Additionally, it offers features such as ROI-based image enhancement for key areas, PTZ camera linkage, customizable OSD watermarks, and automatic device heartbeat self-check. The device is open and compatible with ONVIF and GB28181 national standards, allowing seamless integration with most domestic security management platforms and NVR storage devices, making it easy to build large-scale, standardized 4K smart surveillance systems in bulk.

III. Compact encoding tailplate, lossless adapter for enabling 4K signal output channels.

The CM2004HU encoding control tailboard serves as the pivotal component that connects the in-built mechanism to external terminals. It is specifically designed to work seamlessly with the entire CM series of mechanisms and Sony’s original 4K cameras, providing a complete solution that integrates signal conversion, multi-interface expansion, and PTZ communication capabilities. The hardware boasts a compact, square form factor measuring just 50mm × 50mm, featuring pre-installed standard 2.1mm mounting holes for easy installation. Its lightweight and slim design makes it an ideal fit for internal integration in small all-in-one dome cameras, embedded live-streaming devices, and portable inspection instruments. This board delivers top-notch 4K signal transmission performance: its HDMI input and loop-out interfaces both support resolutions up to 3840×2160 at 30Hz. The HDMI loop-out allows a single 4K video stream to be simultaneously distributed to large-screen monitors, local recording hosts, and remote streaming devices, enabling synchronized live streaming, monitoring, and archiving. Additionally, the onboard USB 2.0 high-speed interface ensures stable output of 4K ultra-high-definition video signals, allowing direct connection to capture cards, industrial PCs, laptops, and other terminal devices. On the side, a TTL-level analog serial port is provided, natively supporting SONY VISCA PTZ control protocols, thus enabling integrated, coordinated control over lens zoom, pan/tilt movements, and parameter adjustments. Throughout the entire signal transmission process, there is zero signal loss, no color degradation, and no image lag—effectively addressing common industry challenges such as difficulties in externally adapting 4K mechanisms, reduced image quality due to transcoding, and incompatible communication protocols.

IV. Durable and stable hardware architecture, ensuring long-term, reliable operation in multiple scenarios around the clock.

Commercial-grade 4K solutions must feature robust environmental adaptability and long-term operational reliability. The CM8810E’s chassis adopts a lightweight, precision-designed structure, with overall dimensions of 64.1.45.250.6Hmm, with a net weight of only 152g, it can be easily integrated into various gimbals, housings, and all-in-one device enclosures. It supports a universal DC power supply ranging from 9 to 12V, featuring a static power consumption of 3.7W and a maximum full-load power consumption of 5.6W. Its low-heat design helps slow down component aging and extend the overall service life of the device. The device boasts an exceptionally wide temperature and humidity tolerance range: operating temperature—from -30℃ to +60℃; standby storage temperature—up to -40℃ to +70℃; and stable operation within a humidity range of 20% to 80% RH. This makes it suitable for continuous operation in harsh environments such as extremely cold outdoor conditions in northern regions, high-temperature and rainy seasons in southern factories, enclosed high-temperature server rooms, and humid riverbank areas. The device body supports local offline storage via TF cards up to 1TB in capacity, ensuring that all 4K video files remain intact even after network or power outages are restored. It also supports remote online firmware upgrades, allowing algorithm and feature iterations and optimizations without the need to disassemble the device, making subsequent maintenance both convenient and hassle-free. The Kaimorui CM8810E core paired with the CM2004HU encoding backplane forms a closed-loop 4K visual system encompassing acquisition, analysis, encoding, and output, covering diverse application scenarios such as live venue broadcasting, urban traffic monitoring, large-scale campus security, river and water conservancy inspections, and industrial visual quality inspection on production lines. The entire system is easy to assemble, features broad protocol compatibility, and delivers balanced image quality performance, striking a perfect balance between high-end quality and project cost control. In the current trend toward high-definition and intelligent upgrades of visual equipment, Kaimorui has deeply invested in hardware imaging and signal transmission technologies.
