I. Professional optical imaging base, delivering stable, lossless 4K footage even in complex lighting and shadow environments.

The CM8403 is equipped with a 1/2.8-inch, 8-megapixel, progressive-scan CMOS sensor that delivers native 4Kp30 ultra-high-definition video. It comes standard with a 3x optical zoom lens featuring a focal length range from 2.38mm to 7mm, allowing seamless switching between a wide-angle field of view of 102.7° and a medium-angle field of view of 41.8°. Throughout the entire process—from panoramic framing to detailed close-ups—there’s no loss in image quality due to cropping. The module incorporates a proprietary distortion correction algorithm that completely eliminates the stretching and distortion often seen at the edges of wide-angle images, ensuring maximum geometric accuracy in the captured footage.The module integrates a full suite of image-processing algorithms, including wide dynamic range, dual 2D+3D digital noise reduction, strong-light suppression, and backlight compensation, enabling it to effortlessly handle complex lighting conditions such as backlighting near windows, extreme contrast between bright and dark areas, and low-light indoor environments. The hardware boasts exceptional light-sensitivity performance: in color mode, the minimum illumination level is 0.1 lux (with AGC enabled); in black-and-white mode, it drops as low as 0.01 lux (with AGC enabled). The signal-to-noise ratio is ≥55 dB, ensuring clean, noise-free images even in low-light conditions with fully preserved and natural color gradations. The exposure system supports three modes: automatic, manual, and shutter-priority. The electronic shutter speed can be adjusted over a range from 1/1 second to 1/30,000 second, making it ideal for capturing fast-moving objects as well as static text and images. White balance, brightness, contrast, sharpness, saturation, and hue can all be finely tuned manually. Additionally, the module offers multiple preset white-balance options, including auto-tracking white balance, indoor white balance, outdoor white balance, and one-touch white balance. The red and blue color channels can be independently adjusted for precise matching to specialized image-quality standards, such as industrial inspection color calibration, classroom whiteboard capture, and lifelike portrait reproduction in meetings.

The USB 3.0 interface complies with the UVC 1.0/UVC 1.1 universal standard, offering plug-and-play functionality without requiring drivers. It is fully compatible with multiple operating systems including Windows, Linux, and Android, and supports video streams in various formats such as YUV, H.264, and MJPEG. The HDMI interface natively outputs 4K ultra-high-definition video directly, eliminating the need for secondary transcoding and allowing direct connection to displays and recording/playing hosts. The network port employs H.265 high-efficiency encoding, supporting dual-stream separation—primary and secondary—up to a maximum of 20 simultaneous video previews, making it ideal for large-scale centralized visualization management platforms.
